#1 California Solar Storm 440
5 out of 5 Stars
The SolarStorm 440 wins as our top pick in this price category in the overall rankings for best led grow lights under 1000 for 2017. California Light Works has been a top US company in the LED Grow light area for several years, but two unique features of their new SolarStorm product has separated them from the competition. #3 Advanced Platinum P450 Grow Light
4 1/2 out of 5 Stars
Like the top rated P300 in the $250-$500 category, this larger P450 is one of our top recommended Plant Lights. This model uses 150 Bridgelux LEDs that operate at 3W each, This model also produces an 11 band spectrum.. The P300 and P450 both come with two lenses – a primary one that allows 60 degrees refraction, and a secondary one that allows for 90 degrees light deviation. Coupled with the 274W power capacity of the product, this light spread and lens focus ability ensures that the product can provide excellent lighting to areas as large as 4.5′ x 4′.
